Prorizon at Athlete Investor Summit

We recently attended the Athlete Investor Summit, hosted by Paul Musa at Google’s London offices on 3 July 2025. As a sports lawyer, podcaster (What The Footie) and Next Gen industry leader, Paul has established the summit as the leading UK forum for athlete-investor discourse. The event
convened high-performance athletes, venture capitalists, lawyers, agents, educators and sport-tech entrepreneurs to explore the evolution from traditional endorsements to equity ownership and to examine due diligence, investment strategy and sustainable portfolio building. It was an excellent event with high-calibre discussions, not just transactional presentations but deep dives into athlete-centred investor journeys, the performance mindset applied to capital allocation and emerging European movement in athlete-led portfolio development.

Key presentations included panels on due diligence with Arabella Reeves, Tom March, Tracy Doree and Sam Isaacs. This was followed by a really informative panel on what to invest in, with Oksana Stone, Mujtaba Elgoodah, Arthur Bernard and Adam Osper. Next followed a brilliant fireside session hosted by Charlie Stebbings and interviewing Benjamin Kayser with a focus on his transition from professional athlete and entrepreneur. The afternoon finished with none other than Paul Musa hosting the final panel on endorsement versus equity and cash vs. ownership featuring Dominic Thiem, Daniel Temm and Henry Kumi.

What an excellent day of learning and networking. New connections are already being pursued as we integrate lessons learned into Prorizon’s strategy and we explore pilot partnerships.

Heading to Singapore for World Aquatics Championships

We are incredibly proud of Luis Weekes, our data scientist and Commonwealth swimmer, who is in Singapore representing Barbados at the World Aquatics Championships. Balancing high-performance sport with education and technical innovation is no small feat, and Luis continues to demonstrate exceptional commitment in all three domains. His achievements and commitment underpin the values of Prorizon: integrity and commitment to meaningful impact. We extend our warmest congratulations and wish him every success on the international stage.

Prorizon will also be represented in Singapore, where CEO Joly Zou will demonstrate the next version of our product. This release includes our newly developed Mind–Body Load and Readiness features, engineered by Luis to improve the precision, contextual relevance and personalisation of feedback delivered to athletes. These tools build on our science-first approach and are designed to support more responsive decision-making around training, recovery and readiness. We look forward to engaging with global stakeholders in performance, health and sport tech as we introduce this important update.

New Partnerships

We are collaborating with Aimee Howells, founder and director of Squad Goals Global Ltd, dedicated to enabling athletes, particularly from underrepresented backgrounds, to transition into business leadership and drive social impact through sport. With over two decades’ experience in fan engagement and global brand partnerships, including roles at Manchester United and GO! Consultancy, Aimee brings rare insight into athlete-centred commercial strategy. She is supporting us in deepening our understanding of governing body, team, and athlete needs in relation
to data analytics and actionable insights. This work is directly informing our go-to-market strategy, pilot collaborations and long-term partnership development.

We continue to work closely with our partners at Innovate UK Business Growth (formerly Innovate UK Edge) to advance a series of targeted grant submissions that will support the next phase of our R&D. These applications are designed to strengthen our data infrastructure, analytics capability and translational pipeline. We would like to thank Andrew Peters, who has supported us for the past 18 months and played a key role in guiding our development. As he transitions to the Scaleup Programme, we wish him every success. We now look forward to working with Joaquin
Perez, our new innovation and growth specialist, as we enter this next stage of technical and commercial development.

Team Update

Last but not least, we were very fortunate to host Fred Luca, an outstanding intern from Clemson University, for a six-week placement with us at Prorizon in London. Clemson is one of the United States’ leading public research universities, known for its academic rigour, Division I athletic
excellence and its commitment as a land-grant institution to innovation that benefits the state of South Carolina. Fred worked on the business strategy side of our operations, contributing to market analysis, stakeholder mapping and strategic planning activities linked to our product development
and go-to-market priorities. He did a brilliant job and we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.

As always, our priority remains the ethical development of evidence-based tools that optimise health and performance by accurately measuring and interpreting mind–body load. We continue to focus on delivering science-led, user-informed solutions that are grounded in real-world application
and measurable impact. If you are interested in learning more about our work, exploring collaboration opportunities, or trialling the next version of our app, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
